Campaigns like the ones you organize fuel the IMPACT we are making in Jackson County. Because of you, a single mom of three who was struggling to make ends meet is now on track to owning her own home. Read her story here. Thank you for making a difference in Jackson.
2016 CAMPAIGN UPDATE
We made a very exciting announcement at our 80th Annual Meeting last week. In short, United Way believes that a deeper focus on issues surrounding poverty in Jackson County will lead to more households reaching financial stability. Working together, we can create a community that offers opportunity for every person to become financially stable. To that end, United Way will begin looking at our work through the lens of financial stability to create greater, more sustainable outcomes, including through its work and partnerships in education, income, health and basic needs.
We had an outstanding meeting with many campaign coordinators last month. As a result you will notice some changes with this newsletter among other things. We are always looking to improve so if you have any suggestions please contact us.
We have plenty of table tents to go around. If we missed your workplace let us know and we can drop some off.
ECC TIP OF THE MONTH
Year-Round Engagement Part III – Promoting United Way within your organization periodically throughout the year will bolster your campaign. Here are some simple tips.
- Share links within this email with HR and the rest of your coworkers.
– The short stories are impactful and informative. Readers will learn what is happening with their donation.
- Retweet, Like, Share! Ask the person in charge of your social medias to follow United Way and share posts and tweets.
- Thank you, thank you, thank you…it can’t be said enough. We would embrace the opportunity to come to one of your meetings or gatherings to say thank you.
As a result of our recent meeting with Campaign Coordinators we have added a new feature to the Campaign Connections newsletter that highlights material on our website.
